Greencon Installation Team arrives on site. Client already has a solar water system, but want’s it moved to a better place and then to have 3 existing electric geysers converted to solar assisted systems.
The system in the back of the picture is an existing split solar system that Greencon just moved to a better position on the roof. The system in the foreground is a converted Kwikot geyser using CPC collectors from Helios (awesome stuff).
One of the best parts of the CPC collectors is that they are pre-assmbled and wrapped, which means you can work on them, without them cooking in the sunlight.
The retro fit system are driven by PV panels which means they are totally independent of the “grid”. 850L of solar heated water – Greencon

Greencon has finally managed to introduce Solar Thermal technology into the main stream of South African society. Through Eskoms DSM project we have managed to put a package together that allows communities to install a solar system for very, very reasonable and affordable prices.

One of our accredited installers fitted 4 x 6tube (u-tube) solar thermal collectors to a customers existing geysers in Midrand, Johannesburg, South Africa. We also changed the old shower heads to our new energy efficient range.
