Thatch House means we have to make a plan

Thatch roves can prove to be difficult for solar thermal installations. When we use flat plate technology, the problem is with the grass on the roof rotting, so we have to build a stand that lifts the panel off the roof. With vacuum tubes the issue of fire hazard, is of concern. There is a possibility of refracted light bouncing off the tubes and igniting the grass that covers the house. In these circumstances we advise the client to look for a different area to install the system – like the garage roof or not thatched area.
